Plum Creek Municipal will be working on two service line repairs starting Tuesday, February 6, 2024. The repair sites are 1468 Wynonah Drive and 1486 Bearcat Cove. Discolored water may occur. Plum Creek Municipal Authority will be repairing leaking hydrants starting at 7 a.m. on Monday, January 15, 2024 at 198 Hatchet Cove and 502 Cherokee Drive. The following properties will lose water pressure entirely and discolored water may occur because the water main has to be shut off to replace the leaking hydrants. A boil water advisory will also be in effect for these properties. The properties are 190, 191, 193, 194, 196, 197, 198, 200, 201, 202, 203, 204, 205, 207 Hatchet Cove and 505, 787, 2553 Cherokee Drive.

Due to unforeseen repairs to a shut off valve on the main - additional properties have to be added to the boil water advisory. These properties are 795, 798, 799, and 803 Cherokee Drive.  UPDATE:  The repair has been completed and the boil water advisory has been canceled as of Friday, January 19, 2024.

Plum Creek Municipal Authority will be repairing a leaking hydrant starting at 7 a.m. on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 1857 Arrow Cove. The following properties will lose water pressure entirely and discolored water may occur because the water main has to be shut off to replace the leaking hydrant and these properties will also be under a boil water advisory. These properties are 1854 and 1859 Arrow Cove. UPDATE: The repair has been completed and the boil water advisory has been canceled as of Tuesday, November 14, 2023.

Plum Creek Municipal Authority will be repairing a leaking hydrant starting at 7 a.m. on Monday, November 6, 2023 at 1928 Wynonah Drive. The following properties will lose water pressure entirely and discolored water may occur because the water main has to be shut off to replace the leaking hydrant and these properties will also be under a boil water advisory. These properties are 1922, 1925, 1927, 1928, 1929, 1930, 1932, 1933 Wynonah Drive. UPDATE: The repair has been completed and the boil water advisory has been canceled as of Thursday, November 9, 2023.

Plum Creek Municipal Authority will be repairing a leaking hydrant starting at 7 a.m. on Friday, November 3, 2023 at 1487/1488 Bearcat Cove. The following properties will lose water pressure entirely and discolored water may occur because the water main has to be shut off to replace the leaking hydrant and these properties will also be under a boil water advisory. These properties are 1468 Wynonah Drive, 1470, 1471, 1472, 1476, 1481, 1482, 1483, 1484, 1485, 1486, 1487, 1489, 1490 Bearcat Cove, 1494, 1495, 1557, 1558, 1559, 1560 Wynonah Drive. UPDATE: The repair has been completed and the boil water advisory has been canceled as of Wednesday, November 8, 2023.

Plum Creek Municipal Authority will be flushing hydrants throughout the Lake Wynonah development starting Tuesday, October 31, 2023 and continuing through Friday, November 17, 2023. The hydrants will be flushed on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Hydrants are flushed to remove sediment that has settled in the water lines. Low water pressure and temporary water discoloration may be experienced in some areas. Thank you for your patience as we perform this necessary maintenance.  UPDATE: Hydrant Flushing was completed on November 17, 2023.

Plum Creek Municipal Authority is going to be doing work on the water system. We are going to be opening, exposing, and marking the curb stops, water main shut off valves, and the fire hydrants. The fire hydrants will need to be visible from the road and have a five (5) foot wide path, which will include at least a two (2) foot radius around each hydrant. The curb stops and water main shut off valves will need to be clear with a five (5) foot radius around each of these valves and curb stops as well. If any of these are on your property - please make them accessible to PCMA personnel, or PCMA will be forced to make a path of its own for access to these facilities. Thank you !

A resolution was adopted at the September 19, 2023, Board meeting, the Board approved the following rates, and these rates will be effective November 1, 2023.

Involuntary Water Turn Off / Turn On Fee       $150.00

Voluntary Water Turn Off / Turn On Fee          $150.00        This is payable by the property owner to the Authority at the time the property owner requests a voluntary water shut off in writing for their property and the fee must be paid before the Authority will turn off the water service to the home at the curb stop.

The repair sites are 2177 and 2178 Oklahoma Cove.  Discolored water may occur. There is NO boil water advisory in effect. The Plum Creek Municipal Authority will be doing maintenance work on Well No. 8, starting Monday September 25, 2023. This maintenance work will take about two weeks to complete. Well No. 8 will not be pumping during the maintenance period, which will have a temporary effect on the water supply in the storage tanks.  The Water Authority is strongly advising that all customers CONSERVE WATER AND ELIMINATE ALL UNNECESSARY WATER USE during the next few weeks to give the system time to recover after the maintenance has been completed.  There is NO boil alert in effect.  

UPDATE: AS OF 10/13/23 - Well No. 8 maintenance is now complete. The Water Authority is strongly advising all customers to CONTINUE CONSERVING WATER AND ELIMINATE ALL UNNECESSARY WATER USE during the new few weeks to give the system time to recover.

At the July 18, 2023 Board meeting...a change was made to the meter reading period. The meter reading period was changed from the last two weeks of the quarter to the last three weeks of the quarter. Water meters will be read by PCMA personnel during the last three weeks in March, June, September, and December.  This change will go into effect for the September 2023 meter reading.

This is an update: The Plum Creek Municipal Authority continues to work on service line repairs and continued power issues at our well pumps. These activities continue to have an effect on the water supply in the storage tanks.  The Water Authority is asking all customers to voluntarily conserve as much water as possible during the next couple of weeks to give the system time to recover while these things are being addressed.  There is NO boil water advisory in effect.

The Plum Creek Municipal Authority is currently working on a service line repair, today, Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at 861 Wynonah Drive. The shut off valves adjacent to the break failed to shut the water pressure off. We will have to go out further from the break in order to minimize the pressure to fix the leak. Effective immediately.....a precautionary boil water alert is in effect for the entire community.

Two additional leaks have been detected which are causing a significant drop in the PCMA’s water supply. The repairs are scheduled to start on Monday, December 14th at 7:30 a.m. One leak is a main break at 1407 Stag Drive and the other is a hydrant at 1733 Running Deer Drive. Other sites may be added as leak detection continues. A precautionary boil water alert remains in effect for the entire community. Water outages and discolored water may occur near the repair sites. We will send out another notification when the repairs have been completed and the precautionary boil water alert has been canceled. Thank you for your patience during the repair process.

The PCMA is experiencing large drops in the water storage tank levels, and it has called in its leak detection personnel to locate a leak or leaks in the water system that would be causing the water loss. For that reason, we are NOT canceling the boil water advisory at this time, as water loss indicates we'll need to put it back on very shortly. If anyone sees any indication of a large leak somewhere in the PCMA's water system, please call 570-754-7505 or 570-754-7222 to let us know, and we'll send out leak detection personnel to that area. The water main break at A-Dock has been repaired, and everyone should have water service again. Water samples need to be collected today (Wednesday) and tomorrow to be analyzed for drinking safety. If all samples taken today and tomorrow are cleared for drinking, the boil water advisory can be canceled on Friday. As things stand now, a precautionary boil water alert remains in effect for the entire community. We will send out an alert when the boil water advisory has been canceled. The street sequence will be 2198 Quarterhorse Cove, 1756 Running Deer Drive, 2086 Running Deer Drive, 2097 Running Deer Drive, 2109 Running Deer Drive, 2123 Running Deer Drive, 2118 Running Deer Drive, 1811 Crazy Horse Drive, 1801 Crazy Horse Drive, 1859 Arrow Cove, 936 Wynonah Drive, 480 Wynonah Drive, 490 Sarsi Cove, 283 Hogan Drive, 122 Hogan Drive, 264 Creek Drive, 253 Creek Drive, 198 Hatchet Cove, 348 Pawnee Drive, 88 Comanche Drive, and 313 Sioux Drive. Whether or not the flushing sequence scheduled for Thursday is completed is dependent on how dirty the water is in each hydrant and how long it takes for the water to run clear. The PCMA is repairing 3 water system leaks, one was caused by a contractor who damaged a water line, one was detected by a homeowner who then called us, and one we knew about and decided to address that one so we didn't have to call another boil alert in two weeks. Two of the leaks have been completed and those were at 2462 Papoose Drive and 2621 Wynonah Drive. The leak at 588 Wynonah is being repaired today. A precautionary boil water alert is in effect.

The PCMA repaired a sudden, massive main break on Coyote Drive on Wednesday, July 31st. Water samples will be taken today (August 1) and tomorrow. A precautionary boil water alert is in effect. We will notify the community when two consecutive days' worth of good water sampling is obtained and the precautionary boil water alert is canceled. Thank you for your patience.

There are a number of customers on the north side of the development that have either low water pressure or no water service at all. The PCMA is looking for the cause of the water issue and has called in its leak detection person to help locate the problem, which looks to be a large leak. The Plum Creek Municipal Authority will be repairing a water system leak at 10 Navajo Drive starting 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning, April 2nd, 2019. Curb stops will be repaired after the leak repair on Navajo Drive is complete. The curb stops are at 2475 Papoose Drive, 2157 Montana Drive, 1713 Running Deer Drive, and 1598 Lightfoot Drive. A precautionary boil water alert will be in effect during the repairs. Water outages and discolored water may occur at the repair sites. We will send out another notification when the boil alert has been canceled.
